My first case summary for Columbia University’s Global Freedom Of Expression Project relates to the Borgarting Court of Appeals’ June 22 2015 verdict in the case against the Norwegian salafi-jihadist ‘Ubaydullah Arslan Maroof Hussain on charges of violations of Norwegian anti-terror laws, threats against court witnesses and two Norwegian journalists, as well as violations of Norwegian General Penal Code Paragraph 135 (a) (now Paragraph 185) for hate speech /incitement against Norwegian Jews and a Norwegian lesbian woman of Muslim background.
